Configuration failure

Configuration failure: We have tried to transfer the recent configuration changes you have made in this software down to your premise trixbox Pro server. Normally, this occurs instantly, but for an unknown network reason, the changes have not yet reached your server. We will automatically try to transmit them again in 15 minutes. When we succeed, this message will disappear. However, you may continue to safely make changes while you see this message!

This message has been displayed since 04/02. Changes are syncing, but this message is not going away.

Please advise.

Regards,

Patrick

I've reloaded the box to see if this would correct the issue. It has not, during the activation process the following error is yielded.

Further review shows that

Further review shows that nothing was sync'd down after the rebuild. Thus we are completely dead in the water.

Is the CD you are using

Is the CD you are using passing the CD check test? That was my problem I was using a bad CD burning software that was adding an end line that was messing up the install.

Hey Patrick, I have located

Hey Patrick,

I have located the problem with your system! I found that we were attempting to sync to files (submenu's) that were no longer on your system. This is a race condition that occurs when creating and deleting submenu's. This will be fixed in by trixbox Pro 2.0

Cheers!
Mike

Ldeeder, I was not able to

Ldeeder,

I was not able to reproduce this on your system, syncing seems to work fine on your system. I was able to see changes made and get sent down to your system properly.

Thanks,
Mike

This is occurring again!

This is occurring again! Could you please explain how to resolve this issue? This is causing the "purchased" product to become unusable. Our company has just spend roughly 21k on this new system, and while some issues are expected this would be considered bricking the system.

As you previously stated, this issue is resolved in the next release. Until that point, I think it would be fair to explain how to resolve the problem in the interim.

Patrick

Pat, When looking at your

Pat,

When looking at your system I see that your system is in-sync and there is no banner on your system. I think it is unlikely the symptom that you experienced is the same as before. The problem I mentioned to you earlier in the thread had to do with a race condition when creating, and then very quickly deleting a submenu.

What part of your system is bricked? Having the banner is a precautionary measure to inform users that something is not in sync, it does not necessarily mean that any negative impacts will result from it. To resolve your previous 'issue' I canceled the syncing of the files that no longer existed. This is not something that you can with the access that you have available to you.

Thanks,
Mike

bwbd, I am not able to help

bwbd,

I am not able to help you without more information (like a server id). Did you read through the sticky at the top of the this forum about syncing issues?

Thanks,
Mike

I just tried to connect to your system to check this out, but it was offline. Let me know when it is back online and I will be able to help you with this.

Thanks,
