How does Find Me work?

How does Find Me or Transfer to cell phone work? I have searched the forum, google and several tech documents concerning this and see no real explaination. I am trying to use a virtual extension. I want to use this as a means of the onsite users to contact me directly using the hud. I want them to click to connect to me (ext 899) when they need technical support. I tried several routes using forward all and find me to no avail. using 9 as part of the dialing plan and without.
It does seem to answer the incoming call. enter 899 for the ext and it just hangs up. How can I get this to work? Thanks for your help.
Is there something I am doing wrong. I went ot your link and nothing. I just get a page that says the following
