Phone locking up.. then restarting

This may be an easy fix...

On all of my phones (12 IP 501's & 2 IP 550's), if i accidentally dial an incorrect number outside of the dial plan, the phone locks up and has to be restarted by unplugging the power, or by giving it enough time to realize it's locked up and it eventually restarts itself..

Is there a way to fix this?

Jeff, This is strange,

Jeff,

This is strange, sounds like the dial plan is acting strange. What server ID are you? We can take a look and see if there's anything wrong with the Polycom dial plan in the phones.

Thanks,
Samy

It would be nice if someone followed through with their commitment. The problem is still happening and someone said yesterday they would take a look at it.

What version of Polycom software

What version of Polycom software are you using? I have seen this happen when you have incomplete .cfg files or the .cfg files that don't match the sip.ld version.

Jeff,

I just checked the dialplans on your phones and everything looks fine. What version of firmware are your phones running?

Jeff, You can get the

Jeff,

You can get the firmware version through complicated steps in the phone's interface. You can also get it from the asterisk console by typing the command:

'sip show peer [MAC]'

You will see a line like this:
> Useragent : PolycomSoundPointIP-SPIP_501-UA/1.6.6.0079

This shows that the 501 on your system is running 1.6.6

The newer versions of firmware for trixbox Pro is 2.2. I would be happy to push this down to your trixbox Pro with your permission.

Thanks!
Mike

I would love for that to happen I just need confirmation that updating the firmware will not mess up any of my 501's or my 550's. I asked Lewis for that yesterday and got no response. I trust you guys, just need to make sure because I would have some very angry people in my office if this were to bring down my system...
