We have a few trixbox appliances with single PSUs, and would like to upgrade some of them to redundant PSUs in the most critical servers. Does anyone know what brand and model of redundant PSUs fit the trixbox appliances?

This is going to sound rude

This is going to sound rude - though I don't mean it to, but have you tried looking at the PSU in the trixbox appliance to see if it has a mfr/model #?

Not the same

I know that the single non redundant PSU that comes with the trixbox appliance is made by istar. They have made a custom bracket for the rear of the appliance box so that the istar PSU can be mounted correctly. This is not my question.

The trixbox appliance is also available with a dual PSU that are redundant. What I want to know is which brand and model they use for the redundant PSUs as most of the ones on the market will not fit the rear PSU opening on the trixbox appliance.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Gasmanz,
The trixboxPro uses an I-star Computer Co., Model TC-400R2U 400w Redundant Power Supply.

Excellent

jsangervasi,

Can you tell me if there is a customized plate to mount it to the rear of the trixbox appliance case?

I might need to make one if it is not a standard fit.

It should be a standard fit,

It should be a standard fit, I have both the lower end and the higher end appliances. The back of the case does not require any modifications. The dual power supply fits in the same spot as the single power supply

Are you sure?

Derek,

The single standard PSU that comes with the standard trixbox appliance has a custom made mounting plate that fits the PSU to the rear mounts of the case. The plate has been made to fit around rear fan vent of the PSU which would make it incompatible with the redundant PSU.

Can you please confirm that the redundant PSU does not use a mounting plate?
