57i bug in call handling?

Repeatable Scenario: User is on line 1 of a 57i, handling a call. New call comes in on line 2. User wishes to let line 1 go (hangup) to answer line 2 (ringing). User, finishing conversation on line 1, presses red release button to hang up. Line 2 stops ringing as well and call is lost.

This happens on a ring group using the 2.2 branch. The other extensions in the ring group continue ringing normally. I have not tested this behavior outside of the ring group.

Is this a bug or is there a better way to release the first line?

By default, when the phone

By default, when the phone is displaying the incoming (ringing) call, pressing the Goodbye key will reject the incoming call. However, you can stop the phone from doing this by adding the following to the configuration files:

goodbye cancels incoming call: 0

Hey Gareth, thanks very much

Hey Gareth, thanks very much for your reply. I see that option is actually available in the web gui as well for firmware 2.2 -- thanks for pointing me to it. I disabled it in the gui and will give it a go on Monday unless there is a compelling reason to edit the .cfg instead.

thanks again
