57i No Service
hay all
I have a 57i CT that started going from registered to No Service on the phones console. How do I track what or why this happening? If I go into the asterisk console it does not show that it is unregistering and re-registering. This happens on a 3 to 4 minute interval on a constant basis.
I checked all the SIP registration IP address in the phones web console and everything seems on the up and up.
I am running the Aastra XML scripts on this phone. It's just a test phone.
Ive even had this happen while talking on the phone and the connection did not drop. I can still make calls even though it says "No Service" on the phones console.
thanks for any help.
I found my answer here

Just in case anyone else is having this problem...
The fix only lasted for a couple hours. I forced the phone to factory defaults, deleted the MAC.conf, and edited out the Startup.conf. Then restarted and I still have the NO SERVICE problem. I am beginning to think the phone is broken.
Any ideas out there is trixbox land?
I night uninstall the XML stuff and start from scratch.
My internet is not going down thought. Does anyone know of a command to tell how many times a SIP device has unregistered and reregistered? Kind of like the 'last' linux command?
Thanks again all. Have an awesome memorial weekend. I will be doing my taxes and rebuilding our web site.

If you're running the latest firmware (2.2.1) you can see the current registration state on the phone's web interface - it's at the very bottom of the home page.
When it's out of service, it will tell you why it's out of service, so if you can catch it, post the information here and maybe we can help get to the bottom of your problem.

This started after I used the logout feature button (it's an XML thing) so im thinking it has something to do with the XML's installed. (it's the aastra-xml-scripts)

Under troubleshooting there is no other logs I can show you. There is the .conf files, but those look clean. This has been happening for 4 day's now.
Thanks all, you Rock.
The "408" code means that the REGISTER message to the server has timed out, that is the phone didn't receive a recognized response in the required time.
Can you describe your network a bit? Are the phones on the same network as the trixbox server or is there a NAT box in between?
As FredP stated, you can enable logging on the phone from the trouble shooting page and capture the SIP messaging that the phone is sending and receiving. From this I can get a better idea of what's going on your system.
