Aastra engineering department has agreed to moderate a forum on using trixbox with Aastra phones. Aastra phones are designed to work with trixbox. Aastra phones have many Asterisk related features including BLF and Aastra engineers use trixbox in their testing environment.

If have a question on using Aastra phone with your trixbox this is the place to post.

This is Great! Did Aastra say how often they will be on the forum? How soon can we axpect answers to our questions?

Re: aastra moderated forum

I guess I can answer that...

The intent isn't to replace the normal Aastra support methods (eg email, support telephone number, etc) and as such we won't place any guarantees on when/if we will answer your questions.

Instead, this really is a dedicated forum for trixbox users who use Aastra phone to help themselves, just like the other forums. With the exception that the Aastra engineers and support teams will moderate and answer questions when and if time permits, just like any other user.

We'll be as responsive as possible, but hopefully over time, there will be enough knowledge of the phones (and they'll be good enough) to mean that the "trixbox community" can answer 90% of the questions - but we'll still be here for the other 10%.

Aastra BLF Functionality

Is there any way to change the button behavior for a BLF key to make it dial Intercom instead of the extension?

Aastra 57i Speakerphone issues

We are running Trixbox 2.4 built on Asterisk 1.2 and FreePBX 2.3.1.x

We have terrible issues using the speakerphone internally. If both end-points are on speakerphone the voice quality is terrible and cuts out so much you can hardly hear each other. If either party picks up the handset the issue goes away. Also, calls to outside destinations do not have the problem.

Is anyone else having this issue? Any advise on what to try to troubleshoot it? I've fiddled with every server and phone setting I can think of and nothing makes any difference...
