hands-free: can we also activate the microphone of handset ?

Hello

My customer have a little request:
When phone is on hands-free, can we also activate the microphone of handset ?

We use 53i and 57i.

Sorry, there is no way to do this. Only one audio-mode (handset, headset or hands-free) can active on the phone at a time.

Not sure if it meets your customer requirements, but you can sort of do this using the 57i CT. On the CT you can make a call public and connect both the base unit and the cordless handset to the same call.

My customer wants to converse by using the handset, and activate the handsfree for the persons who are in the same room.

fyi - i have seen other phones which do this, and it is a very bad thing to do, it usually causes very bad feedback screeching.
