I have done the same question in trixbox endpoints - please excuse because I have seen this to late.

Hello,
I have a Grandstream GXV-3000. When I call an outside line or someone called me from an outside line I hear the caller correctly but the caller from the outside line heard a staccato noise and the voice is quiet in the backround.

From the Grandstream hotline I got this message:

"The AGC of the SIP line in your Aterisk need to increase a little bit.

Right now user can not ajust the gain of microphone in GXV-3000."

Where can I setup AGC in asterisk. I don't find any settings. Has anyone else the problem or a solution

check the CODEC

try changing the CODEC to 711u it helped me with a similar issue.
I might be wrong, but I tried:)
