I can't get HUD-Lite to work!
Now im a stubborn man and I just hate to quit something. To be honest at the start im new to both Linux and asterisk but im starting to love it more every day. There is one issue that's making my hair fall off and im not even thirty (No offens young bold guys)! That issue is HUD!
Im running a fresh trixbox 2.6.0.7 at the moment with three local sip-connections. All on the same network. One Snom phone and two eyebeam soft-phones. The goal is to make the latest release of HUD-Lite work as a soft-phone since the eyebeam soft-phones are working.
The last week I have been browsing this forum for answers and here im trying to sum up all the fixes I found as well I tried myself with little or no success for a fully working HUD-lite.

In trixbox 2.6.0.7 the file manager_custom.conf isn't added when hud-server (2.6.1.0-1) is installed from package-manager and the fix made it work for me up to the point where i can see the extensions and extension activity. I can drag and make extensions call each other. I installed hud on another computer and i can chat with that computer. But no ability to call internaly or externaly.
So both IRC is working and the hudlite-server is running but HUD doesn't register as a phone to asterisk. When I run eyebeam next to HUD-Lite and call that computer, HUD-lite as well as eyebeam respond and showing incoming call in the notifier, i can pick up with eyebeam. I can with this setup call with HUD, but when i drag and drop the connection have a 30 second respons-time.
From here i tried serveral suggestions, unchecking the "Append 9" also suggested in the thread above as well as adding 9 to the dialplan. Checking the users.xml in /etc/asterisk/hud, trying to restart both ircd and hudlite-server and running the -debug2 as discussed in this thread http://www.trixbox.org/forums/vendor-moderated-forums/hudlite/hudlite-no...
It's not showing anything that's remotely suspicious, and both irc and hudlite-server is running. What bugs me the most is that for some people it works instant but some people have problems with very little consistens.
Now im totaly out of idéas and as well I am a stubborn man I am a peace full man. I hate to use violence. But im not far from jamming my foot deep in the server chassi and throw the sh*t out. Im all ears for suggestions!

I guess the only thing to do is wait and hope for the best. An hour ago i decided to put HUD aside after trying to get it working all day. Im cheering for you Kerry and your team of developers and looking forward to see the new improved HUD-software.
