Caller info not showing up until phone answered
Hello, and thanks to all for a great product. I recently upgraded to trixbox 2.0 with the new client and server versions of Hudlite. One problem we are now having is that the call info on incoming calls doesnt show up until the phone is answered. I also get no Caller ID screen pop until phone is answered. Is there a workaround for this? Thanks in advance.

Does anyone have any suggestions even? I also noticed that if I put a call on hold, HUD shows that the line is free again. If I pick up the call, it shows the line in use. I assume this is just a setting somewhere, but not sure where the file to edit would be. Thanks in advance.

I asked the same questions, HUD does not work on Trix Box Properly, if it does then I cant get ot to go. There is no real time monitoring, but there is in the FreePBX Panel so there must be either a bug in HUD or a setting some where, Hey KerryG your the man how about answring some of these questions so we can get HUD to work. Else I think we should all dump it and call it a dismall failure.
Need some support support support :(
Piri :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(
I had hudlite working BEATIFULLY on Trixbox 1.2.3. It parked calls, showed all info... I finally thought I had a fantastic product together.
Then I upgraded to the latest version of Asterisk and Zaptel. Now it's doing this. From the posts above and other info I have researched it seems that Hudlite isn't exactly compatible with the latest versions of Asterisk. This is bound to happen with non-open-source software.
After my (now incomplete) demo of the software tomorrow morning I'll be returning to Trixbox 1.2.3 with FreePBX 2.2.1. At least that works.
Ditch SugarCRM and Munin and I'm a happy camper!
I would be very interested in contributing towards and open-source replacement to Hudlite with all the features we want. I think a java-based product that works multi-server is a desperately missing feature of Asterisk.

I posted on the Exact same topic, as have MANY other people, and NO ONE from Fonality will answer any questions - I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but this is looking pretty obviously like they are avoiding the question.
While I have limited programming time/resources, I would be happy to host a site for a true open source presence client, and would gladly help with documentation, source repository, forum for feedback, etc. Anyone else interested?
P.S. - We are a dealer for Interactive Intelligence, and they have a presence management client that is FAR beyond what Hud can do (even the Pro version), but it is closed-source also, and only works with Windows - We are going for Asterisk in a BIG way, and presence is (from what I can tell) the only major missing component.
Anyone else know alternatives to HUD since they have cut us all loose? :-(
HUD does not give you real time status of an extn eg when an extn logs of it does not change state in HUD
Also cant seem to delete some extns eg what it you only want a few extns to display ? it seems it is all or nothing,
And you are correct no one seems to be answering any HUD questions on this forum ?
Rumors in other postings that real-time status works in Trixbox 1.2.3 - I am sitting here tonight (22:16 MST) and contemplating a wipe-and-reload to 1.2.3 because we have two demos tomorrow, and it would be nice if Hudlite worked...
Kerry has said flatly in other postings that you can't be choosy about which extensions to display...that "feature" is only in HudPRO
As to answering questions, yes, other than users, the Dev's are VERY silent...
And probably most disappointing of all, HudPRO will only work with PBXtra, their proprietary version of Asterisk - I thought the whole purpose of Asterisk was OPENSOURCE!!!!!

Downgraded my server back to Asterisk 1.2.13 and hudlite got all its features back.
Right.. here's my wish-list of featured for a (Java-based?) alternative to Hudlite... if we can get this going open-source it'd be a winner across the whole asterisk community. I would be quite happy to volunteer to manage the project, visually design it and promote it although my coding skills are not that great.
- Able to view data from multiple servers on one screen and transfer calls between servers
- Skinnable - Same software but different views for basic users, power users and receptionists (maybe call-centre version that can answer calls and transfer to queues)
- Cross-platform
- Call barge and recording
- Ability to select individual users (maybe automatically select based on pickupgroup if easier)
- Works with FreePBX's PhoneBook and Caller Name Lookup
Who's interested and who can help? This is my way of giving back to the community that has helped me so far......
