Same thing

I am having the same issue.

Did you just install from the CD with all of the defaults?

I setup custom partitions and modified access rights and fstab. I am wondering if this has anything to do with it.

Nope, default install - I

Nope, default install - I didn't make any changes to the system other than adding extensions until some time after HUDlite wouldn't work for me.

If you're paying attention

Hudlite guys:

Is there any way to get details on the error: %post(hudlite-server-1.4.27-1.i386) scriptlet failed, exit status 1

Thanks

I have the same problem.

I have the same problem. The interesting thing is that I first installed it on a single HD PC and everything is fine but I am trying to up my capacity and load on a server with RAID 1. Are the others with problems trying to use a RAID drive perhaps?

Additional Info

I am able to manually start the server, but HUDAdmin does not see my extensions. I think that is the root of the issue.

Some Problem Here

I did my first trixbox install over the weekend and when I tried to activate the Hud-Lite application and it told me no extenstions install (Which was correct) I went ahead and installed some extensions, and now every reboot the Hud-lite display fails to start.

Same problem here calvis

Everytime I reboot. I can force HUDServer to start but I get an error message that the HUDAdmin cannot find any extensions. I know I have extensions in free PBX because it is working and calls come in. To me it seems like the connection to the FreePBX stuff is broken in the latest version. I cannot find any docs. on how to check that. I figured it was a newbie issue, but this thread laid that worry to rest. It is something in this release. Hopefully they fix it soon. Seems like it would be a great addition and folks would make me pay for the Pro version once they got hooked on it.

OK - A couple of things...

Was having the same problems on a client machine - uninstalled HUD on my office box, and then tried to reinstall using yum and got the same messages everyone else is getting. Rebooted the box, and then reinstalling from yum worked fine.

Also, just in case anyone wonders, the trick in freePBX of listing multiple SIP extensions to ring in the dial blank like SIP/1423&SIP/1430 ganks HUD HARD - can't update blanks, and clients can't register.

Hope this helps someone - it was 90 minutes of my time...

I have Same

I get the same message when I try to start HUDlite server, I have no problems with the extensions though

edit - sorry, the "hudlite-server: [FAILED]
error: %post(hudlite-server-1.4.27-1.i386) scriptlet failed, exit status 1" message - bit ambiguous

Difference between hudserver and hudadmin ???

I'm trying to keep my install lean. The Hudlite install instructions say to install tbm-hudadmin but my instincts tell me to install the hudserver found on the same list. Can anyone tell me the difference between hudserver and hudadmin? Is there an advantage to installing both? I've looked in the forum but I haven't found any answers to this. Thanks. Matt Cero

Just tried "yum install

Just tried "yum install tbm-hudadmin" and it installed hudserver automatically. It's needed !!! (I guess)

works all fine.

But my modules disapeared. I can't see about 46 of the modules that are regularely there.

Differences

Hud Server is the service - required

HUD Admin is the module for trixbox that allows you to administer the service gui style - I don't know if you can use only conf files to run HUD, but (if it didn't have the error mentioned above) the gui certainly seems easier to me.

HUDlite Server was working

HUDlite Server was working fine for me the other day. I am running Trixbox 2.6.0.0. I noticed that there were updates available for HUDlite Server and the HUDlite Admin under the web based package manager. I decided to apply the updates and now HUDlite server will not install. I removed the tbm-hudadmin package and did a "yum clean all." I tried to run yum -y install tbm-hudadmin from the command line as root and I get the following below. Here is a snip from all of the information below:
-----
error reading information on service hudlite-server: No such file or directory
error: %pre(hudlite-server-1.4.32-1.i386) scriptlet failed, exit status 1
error: install: %pre scriptlet failed (2), skipping hudlite-server-1.4.32-1
------

My question would be why is the scriptlet failing?? It looks like the scriptlet fails and then yum skips over the installation of hudlite-server. Is there a work around for this issue? I've also tried following the installation instructions provided in the trixbox documentation and I get the same result. Thank you to anyone that might have an answer.

Never Mind...

I found the fix for my problem under this post:
http://www.trixbox.org/forums/vendor-moderated-forums/hudlite-tri...

I did actually have to reboot my server before I could successfully install tbm-hudadmin and hudlite-server.
