Hello Senyo,

I desperately need your help to give me some clues. I have another spare PC that I have set up a fresh install of trixbox 2.0 specifically for researching and hopefully fixing the hudlite issue where it does not acknowledge a call until the call is answered. Here is my plan.

The Hudlite works perfectly on a fresh install before updates. So, I plan to compare the problem server with the fully functional one. Then, I will individually install updates in an effort to identify which one is causing the problem (an maybe even why). Finally, I hope to develop a fix in which the system can be updated but the problem update ommitted.

ANY information, clues and even educated guesses that you can offer on ANY aspect of this issue is much appreciated.

1. How does asterisk/CentOS work together with the HUDlite server? Specifically with regards to handling incoming calls?

2. Where can I find any configurable files that could possibly be related to this issue?

Senyo, I respectfully request in the strongest possible way that you give me something to go on here, some clue, some possibility. I am determined to figure this out no matter what, but right now I'm working with minimal experience with this software and system. Anything that your knowledge and experience as a senior designer of the software will go a long way toward a solution. True, I am primarily concerned with solving this to benefit my organization, but I am also truly interested in helping and giving back to this community as well. Not to mention the fact that if I do figure it out, it will knock one unfixable bug off the list that keeps popping up repeatedly on this forum.

Thank you in adavance for your help,

~Will

P.S. I'm sure that this question pops up a lot also, but could you please tell me what fonality's plans on a new release/fixes are?

Senyo does not monitor these forums so asking directly for him doesn't do any good. We forward anything we can figure out to him to look at.

I have yet to be able to repeat this problem. The ugly "it works on my machine" has reared its ugly head on this one.

You hint about it working before updates....what updates break it?

They are currently working on fixes and we hope to have a release in a few days.

We have seen some similar problems here are are working on a resolution. Thanks for your input. The next release of the server will hopefully have a fix for this.

Hey guys,

I appreciate your patience with my persistence. I hate to be a bug, but it seems that the yum -y update does it. From what I can tell, it only installs updates for CentOS. In my particular case it installs 17 updates for the operating system. I have a test system set up to try and nail down which update(s) is causing the problem. Is there a way I can install OS updates one by one and identify each one as I install it? Once I can accomplish this I can perform some testing and hopefully pass on which updates cause the issue.

Right now I have the HUDlite server working perfectly by reinstalling trixbox2.0 and just not updating the OS at all.
