Hello,

i have windows xp sp2 and outlook 2003. Today i installed HUD Lite as administrator, and everything worked fine. But when i login as user without administrator rights, HUD Lite says that the outlook plugin is not registered. When i try to register the plugin in the COM-addins-settings of outlook, nothing happens.

How can i solve this problem?

Thanks in advance

Frank

Re: No Outlook-Plugin without administrator rights

When you login as the admin it will install the plugin for the admin. not for the other user. you may need to give the other user temp admin rights so you can install the plug-in as that user.

No i gave the user admin rights, but i couldn't install the plugin anyway. There was no error message at all, the plugin just wasn't installed. I didn't forget to reboot windows after the installation. :-)

Re: No Outlook-Plugin without administrator rights

Hello,

Sometimes outlook likes to disable plugins that offend it for some reason or another. It's possible that in your case it's done this with the HUD Outlook Add-on. In outlook, click "Help", then "About Microsoft Outlook", and then on the "Disabled Items" button. Is the add-on in there?

Please let me know.

Hi,

no, it's not in the list. The list of disabled items is empty.

Re: No Outlook-Plugin without administrator rights

Hello,

Try this:

Go into "Help->About->Components" and use the "Re-install" option on both components. Does this help?

HUD Lite user restrictions

Hi,

When we install HUD lite in to our pc , we can see all extension that we create in trixbox. Is there any way to restrict some users from seeing some other extension that we create in trixbox? I need this feature because of some privacy reasons.

if someone help my question, i will be pleased.

I could use the same

I could use the same feature. We have some "fake" extensions, such as a company voicemail that shouldn't show up in the extension list.
