Hoping someone can help me with this one.I have a Microsoft Access database running and would like to dial a phone number from it.I was hoping I could do it with TAPI but can't find any documentation on calling up Hudlite to dial.Is there a command line switch that can be run to pass the number onto it ?I have found a function using the tapi library to dial a number from access but this launches the MS phone dialer and obviously tries to dial using a modem. Is there a way to get this to use Hud ?Any help would be appreciated.

Tapi won't talk to Hudlite. It will talk to Asterisk and asterisk will call your phone after dialling the number. Try the ActivaTSP Tapi driver (look in sourceforge - very pro-active devs). you will see your phone ringing in Hudlite.

Managed to do it using Hud.

I downloaded ActivaTSP and started to configure it but could seem to find much documentation on it.

Whilst in the Phone dialer i noticed that HUDTAPI is in there as an option.

I set it as the default phone dialing option and its all working now.

Thanks for you help... Got there in the end.

I am running an older version of Hudlite which has no TAPI. The new version looks pretty cool will try it out.

Re: TAPI and MS Access

I can't seem to get it to work. I installed the Windows Dailer (TAPI) but when I click start call in Outlook I get a the following error after a small wait.

Unable to complete an operation requested by the automatic phone dialer. Please make sure your modem, phone, and phone line are properly configured.

I checked under Dialing Options and it is set to HUDTAPI. Any suggestions? There doesn't seem to be much documentation on this.
