They are all good...

I have had good luck with most of them. I try to stick with the "HD voice" versions even though that codec is not currently supported in Asterisk. Rumer has it Asterisk 1.6 will allow pass-thu of this codec so when that comes out you will be able to get the improved quality.

Note to Polycom if you are reading this: IAX2 support please!

IP501 550

I would go for IP501 and 550.

If there were a best one they wouldn't have 10 models

I've got most of the IP-xxx phones, and they each have features and price points for different needs.

My personal favorite is the IP-650 with backlit sidecar, but with a list price of $730 for the pair I don't put them everywhere. 8*)

IP-320 for low cost, IP-{550,560,650,660(?)} for backlight, ease of use, features, etc.

What are your criteria?

ip550

We recommend IP550 to clients who aren't "too" cost-conscious. Very nice, professional phone with XML browsing capabilities and a high-quality screen; clients are easily impressed when you load their logo onto the screen.

For courtesy phones or those who are extremely budget-oriented, then it's IP330.

Polycom IP560

Looking to implement the Polycom IP560 at my workplace with trixbox ce 2.2.12, Looking to buy 50 units, so wanted to make sure I am going down the right track. Wanted the IP560 so I can make use of the HD voice at a later date once the firmware is available. Right way to go ???

Thanks for your time
