polycom 330 phones have very low ringer volume

Has anyone else noticed how long the volume is on polycom 330 ringers? I have a client, with newly installed 330s, and they can't even hear their phones ring 10 feet away!

DOes anyone know if Polycom is going to address this low volume issue? It doesn't seem to exist with the 501s we have...

I've not noticed quiet ringers on the 320s ... odd.

Have you increased the ringer volume when the phone is on-hook and this setting still isn't loud enough?

The ringer volume changes should be persistent. I've tested this on an IP650/601/550/430 and all work fine. At max setting it's loud for me even at 10' away. Sorry, I don't have an IP330/320. :(

Yes, we have.

The ringer at max is still quite quiet.

The only way I could get around this, was to use digitized ring sounds, ramped up to the point of distortion.

At least then, the ringer can be heard when someone is 40 feet away.

The 501s are much better that this... and the 330s are definitely quiet....

I, too, have had complaints about the 330 having a quite ringer. I have not witnessed it myself though, the only client I have that uses them so far is not local.

Ditto here. I've got an IP320 in a school cafeteria. I need to find a way to boost the volume. My 501 has much more volume.
