Polycom 550 Icon issue still unresolved?
After attending the Networld Interop show in vegas and seeing Polycom phones that looked "normal" on the display, I download the latest 3.0 firmware as recommended by the Polycom people at the booth. While the phone screen looks different after the upgrade, the line icon issue is still present. It looks like the phone or line icons are too big and cover up some of the button area. Is everyone else still having this problem? One would think this should be an easy fix for polycom to resolve, especially since it's been around for so long now.
The guys at the booth said they were running 3.1 but I don't see a way to download that version. The phones at the booth looked fine....am I doing something wrong?
Thanks!
I did get the dial-plan issue resolved, thanks for you reply! Since you are the guy that set up the demo phones I have another question. The phones on display had a really neat looking weather app running on the idle web display area of the phone. When speaking to the guy at the booth, he said this too was on your website for download. I have looked all over and I did find one example of a text based weather app in a PDF somewhere deep in your site, but I'm sure this wasn't what I saw running at the show. Any idea how to get my hands on the weather app that looked more graphical?
Also, I;ve noticed that when I do use apps in the idle display area, when I press the menu key, a large part of the screen looks hidden where you can't ready some of the menu options completely....have you seen this? I can't see to figure out how to get this side-effect to go away.
Thanks again!
Its a basic application server that allows us to display stock quotes, weather info and other content. I believe the sample application can be found at the following if you have a PRC login. If not, please register as it should still be available to you. I've used it before, but not so much anymore.

I haven't seen your "hidden screen" problem using the MENU key. Is this with the phone's MENU options or some other content you're sending?
Mitch
I did create an account but end users don't seem to have access to this link. A complete reversal from "just download it from our website" said by the sales team at the show.
As for the MENU option, it's the phones menu after pressing the MENU button. It leaves a blank square in the upper right corner where the applet was displaying in the main screen and blocks the regular options listed on the MENU page.
Anybody else running applets on their polycoms 550s/650s?
