Sangoma A200 w/HW EC and 2.6 with OSLEC

I'm looking at the configuration of the A200 card with hardware echo cancellation. The config files shows it active but at the same time the Zaptel shows OSLEC active.
Zaptel Version: 1.4.10
Echo Canceller: OSLEC

I don't think both should be active or am I missing something?

If I need to shut down OSLEC what is the best method?

Thanks,
Fred

Hi, When the hardware EC is

Hi,

When the hardware EC is activate then the software EC will disable it's self. So there should be no issue with our hardware EC and OSLEC.

Something not working right then....

I rebuilt my Trixbox server upgrading the hardware and TrixBox to 2.6. I moved the Sangoma A200 with hardware echo cancellation card to the new box and all works just fine except for analog lines volume. I researched the issue here and came up with a number of people having a similar problem. It seems that the analog line volume gets depressed by OSLEC after having all of the echo removed via the hardware cancellation. Turning up the volume in zapata.conf does not help and makes the issue even worse to the point that received audio is very low and cuts in and out sporadically.

Attempts to make a difference:
Turned off echo cancellation in zapata and set tx/rc gain to 0 - same issue low volume and cut in and out. Seems like OSLEC is active even when turned off in zapata.

Turned off Sangoma hardware echo cancellation turned on echo cancellation in zapata - volume good no echo in simple test.

It is obviously an interaction with OSLEC and Sangoma HWEC. Since the Sangoma is a superior HWEC solution I would like to disable OSLEC or revert to a less aggressive EC.

Hi,

This appears to be something with our EC because when you set both echocancel=no echocancelwhenbridged=no then OSLEC should not be running. Please send an email to techdesk@sangoma.com with a quick summary of what the issue is and we will trouble shoot this further with you.

Hi,

Yes Konrad is on vacation and techdesk@sangoma.com simply sends the email to all the Tech Support Engineers here. So his auto reply is simply just responding back and saying he is on vacation, but the email goes to other support engineers so it will be answered.
