On testing G.722 on my GXP-2000 (with firmware 1.1.4.25 and bootloader 1.1.4.6) by using the Asterisk 1.6.0 G.722 codec transcoding an mp3 file, I noticed that the audio sounds identical to the same call with G.711u.
