Can anyone who has been able to successfully able to load sip on a 7975 tell me what the code for the load is for 7975??? Ie: 7970 is loadinformation 6 as below. What would be the loadinformation number for 7975??? I am looking for the number where the three ?'s are on line 19. below:

2000

2427
2428

SIP70.8-0-4SR3AS
SIP75.8-3-4SR1S

in anyone is able to help, thanks very much in advance.

Eh, do the loadinformation

Eh, do the loadinformation numbers even matter? I use loadinformation6 for a 7960.

as far as the load info in between the tags, shouldn't it be SIP75 instead of SIP70?

Unable to Register with SIP

I have been unable to get the 7975 to register with SIP load. I've tried all available versions of firmware and multiple config files posted here and on voip-info.org, but nothing seems to work. I can tweak the posted files so that there are no errors processing the config, but the phone won't register properly with Asterisk. It will ring if I call it, but I cannot answer calls or place calls. Pressing the speaker button or picking up the handset does nothing.

Has anyone succesfully taken a 7975 out of the box, loaded SIP and registered with Asterisk? What firmware version did you use? Could you post your config?

I've done this succesfully with plenty of 7940s/7960s and have it down to a science. However the XML configs with the 7975 are still somewhat a black box for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the trick for 7975 load is as follows:

Prepare everything in the TFTP server as if you would a 7070
use the following file for your conf.xml file:

true
SIP
admin
cisco

D.M.Y
Eastern Standard/Daylight Time

reboot fixed it

Weird, but for some reason, i rebooted trixbox and the phone then loaded the new SIP firmware....

Actually if i recall, ive had this same issue when upgrading 7970's in the past. (i just forgot about it until now)

I wonder why a reboot fixes it and causes the phone to properly download the new SIP load.

Maybe an issue with TFTP timing out...

oh well it works and wide band audio kicks butt!!!!!
