Linksys SPA 942 backlight comes on randomly

Hello,

I recently bought a Linksys SPA942 (used from eBay) and have it working great with my Trixbox. But as mentioned in the subject, the backlight seems to come on randomly with no reason at all as far as I can tell. Is this a bug in the firmware or a problem with the phone itself? Or is it a setting? I don't remember seeing any kind of setting that might do this, but I'm no expert.

Its probably not random, its probably exactly every 5 minutes. Did you configure it by the web interface or from config files?

I configured it via the web. Config files scare me. It's definitely not every 5 minutes...the phone is on my nightstand, so in the dark laying in bed I know when it comes on because the blue light lights up a little piece of the room. It only comes on about once or twice while I'm awake (it takes me a while to go to sleep)...or in the morning, it will come on around the time I'm awake only about once or twice a week.

Usually it happens on a re-register. Go into the web interface and change "Periodic Resync" to 0 and see if that helps.

I updated the "Resync

I updated the "Resync Periodic" to 0 (it was set to 3600) yesterday evening, but the backlight came on one time last night while I was laying there, and also one time this morning. I saw some other resync fields there too, is there another one that I should change?
